ESports Field Trips

The San Diego County Office of Education Innovation Division is partnering with the North American Scholastic ESports Federation hosted by the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) to bring ESports to San Diego County.

This is an exciting partnership. SDCOE co-hosted a field trip in mid October 2019 to a school site in Orange County that has successfully integrated ESports into their curriculum while running a successful ESports club. This day included a hosted lunch by OCDE, a site visit to the school, in groups of 5, visits to classes to see how teachers have integrated the A-G ESports curriculum, meetings with the teachers, meetings with the students, and observation of their ESports club.

If you are not able to make the field trip but are interested in ESports for your school SDCOE is offering two informational meetings. Please use this link to the survey to RSVP for one of the informational meetings. The zoom login will be sent prior to the meeting.
